OCALA - A ribbon cutting was held Tuesday for the Bleu Biscuit Pet Boutique & Dog Café, which houses a Humane Society of Marion County Adoption Center, at 3622 NE Jacksonville Road. According to spokeswoman Lisa Lombardo, the store's owner, Russ Faber, is a family friend of actors John Travolta and Kelly Preston. The couple have a home in nearby Anthony. Preston and her daughter Ella Bleu Travolta are both big supporters of animal causes and long have quietly supported the Humane Society of Marion County, noted Lombardo. She said Faber included "Bleu" in the store's name "as a tribute to Ella and a cause she and her mother believe in." The store carries all natural pet products. The site includes a fenced-in yard where animals can play. In partnership with the society, the store is an official adoption center where people can meet homeless animals looking for forever homes.
