HOLLYWOOD star John Travolta has asked America’s most famous Mafia family for their blessing for his movie about them.
Travolta, 57, flew from Hollywood to New York to meet Victoria Gotti, the widow of notorious mob godfather “Dapper Don” John Gotti, who he will play in the planned biopic.He also met Gotti’s son “Junior” John Gotti, 47, whose book, In The Shadow Of My Father, the movie is based on.Travolta visited the house where the late crime boss he will be portraying lived while running the Gambino crime family.
The Pulp Fiction star arrived with a gold gift bag for Victoria, 58.He was greeted with handshakes and hugs from Junior Gotti and several other men.When Travolta emerged from his meeting with Mrs Gotti, whose husband died in prison in 2002, aged 61, he appeared ready to live by the Mafia code of silence, refusing to say anything other than that he was doing “research for the movie”.Filming is due to start in January. The cast also includes Godfather film legend Al Pacino
