John Travolta Donates Plane To Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame

Movie star John Travolta has donated a Gulfstream G2 jet aircraft to the Georgia Aviation Hall of Fame, a state agency based at the Museum of Aviation in Warner Robins.The aircraft was flown into Robins Air Force Base Tuesday. There is no word yet on how it will be displayed or when it will be available to be viewed by the public.Chrissy Miner with Robins Air Force, told 13WMAZ that Travolta's plane will be part of the Robins Air Show, April 28 and 29.According to the news release, Travolta made this donation in honor of his son Jett.Along with his film work, Travolta is an avid aviator.According to his personal website, he holds 11 jet licenses. He has won two prestigious aviation awards, the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Foundation Award for Excellence in 2003 for his efforts to promote commercial flying, and in 2007 The Living Legends Ambassador of Aviation award.
